Rank 1 of 8Star CadetWhere Orbilla starts
Meet Orbilla. It grows with you.
With you on Today, in every session and in the garden. It speaks every cue, offline, and climbs eight ranks as you finish sessions. Free for everyone.
Sessions finished to reach each rank. Orbilla also grows through five stages as your focus hours add up: Little orb, Spark at 10 hours, Halo at 50, Moonlit at 100 and Radiant at 500.
Everything about OrbillaA ceremony at every rank
And a card to share, if you like.
Outfits you earn
Leaves grow as you focus: one for every 10 minutes, five for a finished routine, two for a Just 5 and ten for a goal reached. They buy outfits and garden décor. Nothing is bought with money, and nothing is ever lost.

7-day starter: Free
Challenges never fail
Miss a day and your progress simply waits. Each one brings a reward for Orbilla. The workout challenges come with Zen Plus.
Your month, growing.
In the Zen Garden, an island for every month and a plant for every routine you finish. Rare plants to discover, and décor to earn: a koi pond, a pagoda, lanterns.
16 plants
A month in the app: twelve plants from finished routines, and four rare ones.
A replay of the app’s demo month, in the app’s own drawing. In the app, a plant arrives when a routine ends.
Eight rare plants to discover: Moon orchid, Sun sunflower, Star fern, Cloud bonsai, Aurora tulip, Crystal cactus, Golden lotus and Lantern flower. Orbilla stands on the island, and sleeps there at night.
A calm place to do the work.
Painted and living scenes that move while you focus: rain over lavender, mist over mountains, an aurora.
Six soundscapes made for Zen Timer, which you can mix: tanpura, soft rain, ocean, forest, singing bowls and a warm hum. Or your own Apple Music.
Soft Rain and the Mode Scene and Spectrum atmospheres are free. Every other scene and sound comes with Zen Plus. Apple Music needs an Apple Music subscription as well.

What Zen Plus adds
Good to know.
More answers on Support. Ideas? Request a feature.
Is Zen Timer free?
Yes. Study mode with Flow, Orbilla’s ranks, Soft Rain, the Zen Garden, Progress, one goal, the 7-day starter challenge, SharePlay on FaceTime, widgets, Shortcuts and Quick focus on Apple Watch are free. Your first session is five minutes in any mode. That is a whole timer with the companion and the garden, not a trial.
What does Zen Plus add?
All six focus modes, every scene and sound, the planner and Plan my day, your full history with the heatmap and medals, Sunday’s letter, Focus Circles, Locked focus, the other challenges, the wardrobe and décor, iCloud sync and your routines on Apple Watch. In the wardrobe and the garden’s décor, three starter pieces can be bought with leaves by everyone. Nothing in it is ever bought with money. Apple Music in a session needs an Apple Music subscription as well.
Is Zen Timer a Pomodoro timer?
Yes. Pomodoro rounds: focus, then rest, then the next round. Or Flow, which counts up while you keep going; your break is one fifth of your focus.
What if I stop paying?
Your routines and history are kept.
Do I need an account?
No. There is none to make.
What leaves my device?
Nothing goes to us: we run no server. With Zen Plus, iCloud sync keeps your data in your own private iCloud (it is on unless you turn it off). Focus Circles share the name you give yourself, your mode, whether you are focusing or resting, when your session ends and your focus minutes this week with the friends you invite; task names and your schedule are never shared. Plans and letters are written on your device. Apple Health is used only if you turn it on. The privacy policy has the whole list.
Does it work without a connection?
Yes. The timer, Orbilla’s voice, the garden, your history, Plan my day and the weekly letter all run on the device. These need a connection: Apple Music, iCloud sync, Focus Circles and SharePlay, buying or restoring Zen Plus, and the help pages on orbilla.com.
Which devices does it run on?
iPhone and iPad with iOS 17 or later, Apple Watch with watchOS 10 or later, and Mac with macOS 15 or later. One plan covers all of them. Alarms that ring on silent need iOS 26, on iPhone and iPad. Focus protection, which keeps other apps closed with Zen Plus, is on iPhone and iPad. On the Mac the app has no Focus protection, Apple Health or alarms on silent.
Is it in my language?
Zen Timer is in English, Spanish, Portuguese (Brazil), German, French, Japanese, Korean, Chinese (Simplified), Italian, Hindi, Dutch and Turkish.
Does it nag?
No. One tap to begin. No clutter, no nagging, rest built in.
